Seminar on "Nurture Learners Today and Leaders Tomorrow"
The seminar, organised by the Chief Executive's Award for Teaching Excellence Teachers Association, was successfully held on 16 March 2016. The keynote speech was presented by Mr Benjamin YUNG, Principal Assistant Secretary (Professional Development and Training), Education Bureau, who shared with the audience how teachers should revolutionise learning and teaching to empower students with knowledge and skills for the challenges in future. After reviewing international practices, he suggested that teachers should advance as "inspirational knowledge co-constructors", develop students' entrepreneurial spirit, engage them in deep learning and ensure their mastery of key competences for increased competitiveness in the knowledge-based society.
