Buddy Scheme for Newly Appointed Principals

To tie in with T-craft3 for providing support to practitioners transitioning into new career stages, Education Bureau implements the Buddy Scheme for Newly Appointed Principals (NAPs) in the Induction Programme for NAPs in their first year of principalship to facilitate early networking among them with the support of mentor buddies through experience sharing on school leadership or educational issues.

The Buddy Scheme is embedded as Learning Circles carried out from August 2016 to March 2017. Dedicated principals are invited to be mentor buddies leading groups of 5-7 NAPs under the coordination of the retired principals serving at the Education Bureau. The sharing is conducted in a casual way with free talks on school leadership or any focuses the principals deem appropriate with an aim to facilitating the NAPs to build up networking for professional partnership and exchanges in the long run.
